Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures: - Greg: Sent an email to Mike about AR - This can be shown today - Mike: Reminder: unable to meet Nov 8 due to an election AR Review: - Mike start IQ spec section for Algorithmic Models - Done - Mike post latest checklist - Done - Greg remove AMI checklist items not relating to IBIS 5.0 or 5.1 - Done New items: Mike showed an email from Greg: - Greg: Stripped out checks related to unpassed BIRDs - 1.2 Fully compliant analog model - 1.3 Parameter names in model same as in .ami file - Bob: How would 1.3 be checked? - Greg: The model developer would have to check this - Bob: This would be for params both into and out of the AMI - Mike: The Out params can be tested by anyone - Greg: Can the EDA tool check this? - Mike: It has no idea what the DLL does with the string sent in - Bob: This is a GIGO situation - The tool could warn when an Out param is unexpected - Model_Specific may be different from Reserved - Mike: Param strings to/from the DLL are not categorized - Mike: Is 1.3 really a syntax check? - Maybe section 1 should be only things IBISCHK could check, but doesn't. - Bob: One thing we overlooked is a check for repeated parameters - How that is handled is not stated - Mike: Some parsers may store items in a hash, not a list - Bob: SPICE allows commands like .temperature to be repeated - The last value is taken - Mike: So a BIRD is needed - Bob: Maybe not, but we have established a baseline Mike showed the AMI checklist: - Mike: This needs to match Greg's list - Can "Labels consistent with List" be dropped? - Greg: Yes, it is not yet in IBIS 5.0 or 5.1 - Mike deleted "Labels consistent with List" from 6.1 Mike showed the IQ 2.0 spec: - Mike: It requires IBISCHK with no ERRORs only - WARNINGs only need to be documented - We may not need "Passes IBISCHK" in 6.2 because it is in 2.1 Mike showed the AMI checklist: - Mike: Do we keep "Range parameter values observe Typ Min Max order"? - Bob: It wouldn't apply for Corner - We have Range, Corner, List - Mike: This check should remain because IBISCHK should check it - Mike moved "Parameter names in model same as in .ami file" to 6.2 Next meetings: - Next meetings Nov 15 and Nov 22 Nov 15 agenda: - Continued IBIS-AMI checklist review Meeting ended at 12:03 Eastern Time.
